Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Propulsion Base Software Core Development Engineer to contribute to embedded software for propulsion control modules. The role involves requirements analysis, design, development, integration, and validation, with emphasis on low-level driver development, AUTOSAR-based systems, and virtualization.

The engineer will participate in technical reviews, collaborate across teams and suppliers, and ensure delivery of high-quality, standards-compliant software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of embedded software experience in RTOS environments.
• Experience with embedded C/C++ in automotive software.
• Familiarity with Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software (OS, MCAL, IOHWAB, FEE, WDG).
• Hands-on driver development for microcontroller-based systems.
• Ability to read and interpret hardware schematics and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate embedded low-level driver software for ICE propulsion and electrified powertrain control modules.
• Implement and optimize hardware interface drivers (SPI, I2C, UART, ADCs, timers, PWM).
• Contribute to MCAL integration and AUTOSAR-driven device drivers.
• Analyze software requirements and translate into scalable design.
• Perform hardware-software integration and bring-up support.
• Debug complex issues using Lauterbach, scopes, and logic analyzers.
• Optimize for real-time performance and memory usage on multicore MCUs.
• Collaborate with Base Software Architecture teams for AUTOSAR/RTE alignment.
• Review requirements, design, code, and test plans.
• Ensure MISRA-C and ISO 26262 compliance.
