Job summary

Stellantis in Michigan is seeking a senior automotive embedded electronics architect to drive propulsion controller hardware design and supplier collaboration across global teams. You will evaluate semiconductor solutions for centralized vehicle brains powering electric, hybrid and ICE powertrains, ensuring performance, reliability and cost targets while aligning with the STLA Propulsion roadmap.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics or related engineering.
5+ years in automotive embedded electronics or hardware architecture.
Experience with propulsion and battery ECU design, development, testing.

Responsibilities

Select and recommend next-generation semiconductor solutions for propulsion and powertrains.
Collaborate with Architecture/System Design, safety, and purchasing to meet performance, reliability and cost targets.
Propose application-specific components (MCU/MPU, PMIC, SiC/GaN devices, FETs) and related interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Lead semiconductor sourcing from requirements to supplier assessments and shortlisting.
Support HW Engineering during advanced design phases and ECU development/qualifications.
Drive HW architecture decisions for next-generation propulsion controller system hardware.
Collaborate in scaled agile product delivery with cross-functional teams.
Understand propulsion domain requirements, milestones, and technology relevance.
