Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX company, seeks a Senior Systems Security Engineer onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will develop and implement cybersecurity solutions across RMF, STIG, and DoD IA processes, ensuring secure system configurations and accreditation.

You will perform vulnerability assessments, document remediation, and collaborate with software and systems engineers to integrate cybersecurity requirements throughout the lifecycle. Active SECRET clearance required, with potential Top Secret.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• ACTIVE and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
• Experience with STIG and RMF implementations
• Experience with Linux and security configurations

Responsibilities

• Support RMF artifacts and security control validation to obtain an ATO
• Review system changes for cybersecurity impact and accreditation
• Perform vulnerability assessments and document remediation plans
• Implement and validate security improvements across systems
• Develop RMF documentation and boundary/data flow diagrams
• Conduct STIG implementation and compliance validation
• Coordinate remediation efforts from vulnerability findings
• Provide Linux administration and cybersecurity support for RHEL and other Linux distros
• Troubleshoot Linux network, services, authentication, and SELinux issues
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to integrate cybersecurity requirements
