Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Government SNS team in California. You will contribute to cybersecurity software and embedded network systems, designing, refining, and integrating high-speed software across products while adhering to security standards.

You will work in an agile, multidisciplinary team with a focus on Linux-based embedded environments, protocols, and testability, including DoD clearance requirements and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience using C/C++ in embedded environments.
• 10+ years' experience with network software design and development.
• 7+ years' experience with Linux OS use in embedded environments.
• Experience with Linux network stack and kernel modules.
• Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, MACsec, TLS, etc.).
• Object-oriented software development experience.
• Agile Scrum development experience.
• Ability to plan, track and report progress.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance and willingness to travel up to 10%.
