Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer for the Government SNS team to design, develop, and integrate high-speed network software with security in mind. You will work in an agile, multidisciplinary team on embedded platforms, contributing to certification, testing, and deployment across product lines.

You should bring 10+ years in C/C++ embedded and 10+ years in network software design, plus strong Linux, kernel, and security protocol experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of C/C++ in embedded environments.
• 10+ years of network software design and development.
• 7+ years with Linux in embedded contexts.
• Proven Linux network stack and kernel module experience.
• Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, IPSec, MACsec, TLS).
• Strong OO software development and Agile Scrum experience.
• CI/CD tooling and practices.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/CE or equivalent.
