Job summary

Viasat Government seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to a small, fast-paced SNS team. You will develop software for encrypted communications, interfacing with system, test, and hardware engineers as new capabilities are developed and transitioned into service.

The role covers design in C/C++ and Rust, Linux in embedded environments, and exposure to network protocols and security requirements with potential travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of embedded software design and implementation in C/C++.
• 1 year Linux OS usage for embedded environments.
• Familiarity with Linux kernel drivers.
• Rust experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field.
• US citizenship and an active SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
