The role involves implementing edge software features, delivering production-quality C++ components, and collaborating with hardware and quality teams to ensure robust, scalable solutions in safety-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Significant production software experience in C++ on Linux.
• Experience with pub/sub messaging fabrics such as MQTT, Kafka, Rabbit.
• Proficient in Qt for Linux application development (UI/tools).
• Experience with modern build systems and packaging for embedded targets (cmake, cross-compilation, ARM).
• Collaborates across software, hardware and quality disciplines to deliver reliable products.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement product software features across edge/embedded Linux components and integrations.
• Deliver production-quality C++ components on Linux with performance tuning and maintainability.
• Contribute to device build/release workflows including cross-compilation and packaging patterns (cmake, ARM targets).
• Develop and/or maintain embedded UIs or operator-facing tooling (Qt-based and embedded web apps).
• Implement and troubleshoot industrial communications and building-automation protocols.
• Collaborate with hardware, quality, and product teams to translate requirements into robust designs and drive verification/validation for reliability.
• Improve engineering effectiveness by strengthening development practices (code reviews, automated checks, CI/CD, repeatable build/test flows).
• Support field and manufacturing issue resolution with root-cause analysis and documented fixes.
• Exemplify solid technical decision-making and secure development awareness within product software.
