Ralliant's Gems Setra division in Boxborough, MA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain embedded Linux software across edge components and related integrations. You will deliver production-quality C++ modules with high reliability, contribute to build workflows, and develop UI tooling using Qt for Linux targets.

Applicants should have 6+ years of C++ on Linux, experience with MQTT/Kafka, and strong debugging skills.

Competenze

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems in C++ on Linux.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Linux development and debugging (CLI, scripting).
• Experience with pub/sub messaging fabrics such as MQTT, Kafka, Rabbit.
• Experience with Qt for Linux application development (UI and/or tooling) in embedded devices.
• Experience with modern build systems and packaging for embedded targets (e.g., cmake, cross-compilation, ARM).
• Proven track record collaborating across software, hardware, and quality disciplines in product environments.

• Design and implement product software features across embedded Linux components and integrations.
• Deliver production-quality C++ components on Linux with performance and memory optimizations.
• Contribute to device build/release workflows (cmake-based, ARM targets).
