Job summary

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join our R&D team in Westford, MA. You will contribute to the full software lifecycle for embedded Linux-based systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams across locations.

The role requires 7+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with Yocto/BitBake. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week in Westford.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software/engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong experience with embedded Yocto Linux-based systems.
• Proficiency in C and C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience with Azure IoT or similar IoT platforms.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the embedded software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop and maintain embedded applications on Yocto-based Linux systems.
• Develop multithreaded, multiprocess and real-time embedded applications in C/C++.
• Analyze requirements and contribute to software architecture decisions.
• Debug and troubleshoot software and hardware-related issues; perform code reviews.
