Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design and implement embedded Linux applications, drivers, and BSPs for satellite and aerospace hardware. You will modify boot loaders, work with U-Boot and the Linux kernel, and maintain a Yocto-based CI/CD pipeline across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across the software stack, from microcontrollers to high-level applications, with strong communication and proposal-writing skills.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
• Hands-on development and debugging of software and hardware systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and port embedded Linux applications, drivers, and libraries.
• Configure and modify Linux kernel and embedded boot loaders.
• Work with U-Boot and kernel configuration; maintain Yocto in CI/CD.
• Package and deploy software images for various hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration.
