VoltForce seeks an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join a high-impact firmware team. You will develop the embedded software stack for a bench-top scientific instrument on an AMD/Xilinx FPGA SoC with PetaLinux, writing production code and tooling while collaborating on hardware integration.

You will own test automation, CI/build reliability, and contribute to architecture decisions in a documentation-driven, Jira/Confluence environment.

Formación

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• C programming for embedded Linux userspace (POSIX, threading, IPC).
• Python for test automation and scripting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop embedded Linux application software in C for userspace (POSIX).
• Develop userspace and kernel-space drivers for sensors, actuators, and instruments.
• Implement and extend TCP/IP/UDP protocols for control and data.
• Create and extend serial/CAN communication drivers for instruments.
• Design, build, and maintain HIL automated test systems.
• Develop host-side test tooling (Python GUIs, emulators, instrument drivers).
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines and reproducible build infrastructure.
• Assist in hardware bring-up and board-level validation.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and design reviews.
