Job summary

Talentify in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test and maintain software for our ARM-based systems. You will work across hardware interfaces and firmware to deliver robust embedded applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on software design and development experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Bash and JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
• System administration skills and networking concepts for Linux.
• Experience with Linux kernel configuration and Yocto/Bitbake.
• Experience with U-boot and Linux drivers.
• Experience with SQLite or similar databases.
• Git version control proficiency.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
• Abstract hardware interfaces using clean, reusable code for real-time systems.
• Create software requirement specs, design docs, unit tests, and test plans.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers on interfaces and component selection.
• Develop high level software interfacing with firmware.
• Produce well documented, tested solutions and schedules.
