Job summary

Vanteon is seeking a Principal Embedded Software Engineer to design and develop Petalinux Board Support Package and MAC layer communications firmware for custom hardware. Platforms include the AMD/Xilinx Zynq ARM and ADI ADRV900X transceivers.

The role requires strong experience in embedded Linux, drivers, and BSP bring-up, with a focus on real-time systems and robust software engineering practices. On-site collaboration with the engineering team is expected.

Qualifications

• BS EE/CE/CS/SE and 5+ years in embedded systems software.
• Experience creating BSPs and bringing up hardware.
• Proficient in C/C++ and assembly for embedded processors.
• Knowledge of Linux-based embedded systems and device drivers.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, LVDS, DMA, and hardware interfaces.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software, drivers, and BSPs.
• Analyze system requirements and develop specifications.
• Investigate technologies to meet requirements.
• Create technical documentation (SRS, Design Docs, Test Reports).
• Collaborate with hardware and other engineers for integration.
• Define and execute engineering verification and acceptance tests.
• Mentor junior engineers.
