Qualifications

• 8–14 years of professional software engineering experience in embedded or low-level systems.
• Strong hands-on Embedded Linux experience as development environment and target platform.
• Proficiency in C or Rust programming for low-level software and hardware interfaces.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical challenges.
• Hybrid work schedule from Sioux Falls, SD; Oak Brook, IL; or Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and maintain BSPs for embedded Linux platforms.
• Design and develop low-level software, device drivers, system services, and middleware.
• Troubleshoot Linux boot issues and hardware-software integration problems.
• Build and maintain embedded Linux images, toolchains, and repeatable build processes.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and software teams; participate in code reviews.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver solutions efficiently using AI-assisted tools.
