Job summary

OpenKrill seeks a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a project building vision processing units. You will work between the BSP and platform teams, running integration tests on real hardware, documenting issues, and driving fixes with both teams.

You will troubleshoot hardware using logs, debuggers, and bus analyzers, and contribute to driver-level debugging within a fast-paced, senior-led team across Linux-based platforms.

Qualifications

• Embedded software developer with Linux-based products
• Hands-on troubleshooting embedded systems (logs, debuggers, bus analyzers)
• Daily use of C/C++, Rust, and Python
• Experience with Yocto-based BSPs: meta-tegra or NVIDIA Jetson-class layers
• Reading, debugging, and modifying Linux sensor/kernel drivers
• Writing tests alongside changes and running CI
• Independent, fast-delivery mindset and proactive prioritization
• Strong technical English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Own BSP integration test suites in a Python-based framework
• Run tests on benches and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) infrastructure
• File, track, and drive to resolution the issues found
• Translate platform needs into BSP requirements and tests
• Troubleshoot on hardware using logs and debuggers, bisect issues across kernel, driver and user-space
• Read, debug, and modify Linux drivers when fixes are needed
• Collaborate with teams to implement fixes and define focus areas
• Mentor peers and participate in technical discussions with seniors
