Job summary

Experis Austria is seeking a Senior Embedded BSP Software Engineer in Portland, OR to join a hardware-software integration team. You will design and maintain kernel and QNX software for next-generation IFE seat boxes, and collaborate across hardware, platform software, Android, and validation groups to ensure robust, high-performance embedded solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of embedded software development experience including Linux kernel or device drivers.
• Hands-on Board Bring-up and boot process understanding.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, test, debug, and maintain kernel and QNX software for embedded IFE platforms.
• Develop and test client software in embedded systems per specs.
• Optimize performance to meet KPIs and robustness targets.
• Collaborate with hardware, platform software, Android, and validation teams to support QNX-based functionality from bootloader to OS and drivers.
• Own quality with test plans, functional/regression tests, and code reviews.
