GE Aerospace seeks a Software Lead Engineer to own the design and verification of embedded engine control software. You will lead real-time, safety-critical software development, guiding a team to ensure DO-178C compliance and rigorous verification across multiple platforms.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture decisions, and coordinate with systems and hardware teams to deliver high-integrity software for engine control modules and related subsystems.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM is required.
• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience including embedded software development.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Mansioni

• Provide technical leadership for embedded software design, development, and verification.
• Lead architecture and design across the product and versions.
• Ensure safety, determinism, performance, and maintainability per DO-178C and MIL-HDBK-516C.
• Guide engineers to meet standards and participate in reviews.
• Direct testing in desktop simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
• Present software status, risks, and recommendations.
