Job summary

This role emphasizes architecture, testing and DevSecOps practices, mentoring engineers, and steering hardware/software integration for embedded platforms within the AvionX Software Engineering Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
• 10+ years leading software development.
• 10+ years in trade studies/SOW management.
• 10+ years in automated test strategies.
• 5+ years in leadership driving DevSecOps adoption.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, development, test, debugging and maintenance of embedded software that meets industry and safety standards.
• Translate customer requirements into embedded software designs.
• Lead code reviews for embedded software on specialized hardware.
• Oversee integration of software with hardware components.
• Monitor and improve efficiency and stability of embedded systems.
• Oversee project management and supplier coordination for software.
