Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an experienced engineer to lead the design and testing of embedded systems, including hardware, firmware, and software. You will craft schematics and PCB layouts, and perform HWIL/SWIL tests for aerospace applications.

Candidates should be proficient in C, C++, embedded C, Python, Verilog, Linux, and RTOS, with experience in various communication protocols and real-time systems. Join a mission-critical program in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• MS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 3+ years embedded hardware experience (MCUs, MCUs, FPGAs, ARM, NI, Red Pitaya).
• 3+ years Linux, VxWorks or RTOS experience.
• 3+ years C, C++, Embedded C, Python, Verilog, LabVIEW.
• 3+ years with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, data acquisition.
• US Citizenship or ability to pass background/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, build and maintain embedded systems.
• Develop software applications for NI, TI, Red Pitaya, ARM and FPGAs.
• Write, debug and test firmware/software in SIL and HIL benches.
• Design schematics and PCB layouts for high-speed designs.
• Field integration and testing for aerospace systems.
• Perform HWIL and SWIL testing onsite and offsite.
• Maintain documentation and Git repository.
