Job summary

Deepsight-Technology seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a startup focused on ultrasound systems. You will bring up embedded subsystems, optimize hardware and firmware, and build robust test infrastructure from prototype to production.

The role emphasizes mixed-signal design, FPGA work, and HIL testing in a regulated medical device environment. Collaborative, fast-paced, hands-on hardware development is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in embedded systems development with both hardware and firmware work.
• Experience in bare-metal and RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Strong C/C++, Python; familiarity with Rust optional.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement embedded hardware and firmware for ultrasound subsystems.
• Extend and maintain firmware for reliability and performance.
• Develop HIL testing and automated production testing tools.
• Create test specs, tolerances, and regulatory documentation inputs.
• Lead FPGA RTL development (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth) and data acquisition pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability in a regulated setting.
