Job summary

DeepSight Technology seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its ultrasound systems team. You will bring up, optimize, and integrate embedded subsystems, and help build robust test infrastructure from prototype through production.

You will work hands-on with mixed-signal design, FPGAs, and HIL/testing tooling, shaping a regulated medical device startup environment and contributing to design controls and documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in embedded systems hardware and firmware development.
• Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
• Bare-metal and RTOS development experience (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Experience with FDA/CE regulatory submissions and design controls.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement embedded hardware and firmware for ultrasound subsystems; focus on mixed-signal, RF, and optoelectronic components.
• Extend and maintain existing firmware for quality, reliability, and performance.
• Develop HIL and automated production testing tools for rigorous validation.
• Lead test specifications, acceptance tolerances, and regulatory documentation.
• Own FPGA RTL features (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth).
• Architect end-to-end data acquisition pipeline for testing and manufacturing support.
• Optimize embedded subsystem performance and integrate HW/FW/SW into the system.
• Define requirements for capital test equipment for development and production.
• Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers for manufacturability in regulated framework.
