Job summary

Deepsight-Technology is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead embedded hardware and firmware for cutting-edge ultrasound systems. You will own mixed-signal, RF, and optoelectronic subsystems, develop robust test infrastructure, and drive verification for regulatory submissions.

The role requires 7+ years in embedded design, proficiency in C/C++, Python, and RTL with FPGA experience. You will collaborate across hardware, software, and manufacturing in a fast-paced startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 7+ years in embedded systems with hardware and firmware.
• Experience in bare-metal and RTOS firmware (FreeRTOS/Zephyr).
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python; Rust is a plus.
• FPGA development with Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth.
• Schematic capture and PCB design with Altium or KiCad.
• Hands-on mixed-signal, RF, or optoelectronic prototyping.
• Experience in regulated industries with design controls and documentation.
• Proficient in Linux and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement embedded hardware and firmware for ultrasound subsystems (mixed-signal, RF, optoelectronic).
• Extend and maintain firmware with high quality, reliability, and performance.
• Develop HIL and automated production testing tools for validation.
• Create test specifications, define tolerances, and support regulatory docs.
• Own FPGA RTL features (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth) and integration.
• Build end-to-end data acquisition pipeline for testing and manufacturing.
• Optimize subsystems and lead HW/SW integration.
• Define requirements for capital test equipment.
• Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers for manufacturability in regulated setting.
