Job summary

DeepSight Technology in Seattle is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead embedded hardware and firmware development for ultrasound systems. You will bring up subsystems, optimize performance, and contribute to a robust test infrastructure in a regulated medical-device startup.

You should have 7+ years in embedded design, strong C/C++, Python skills, FPGA experience (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth), and hands-on experience with HW/SW test tools, Linux, and RTOS environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in embedded systems development with hardware and firmware focus.
• Experience with bare-metal and RTOS environments and mixed-signal design.

Responsibilities

• Architect embedded hardware/firmware for ultrasound subsystems (mixed-signal, RF, optoelectronic).
• Extend and maintain firmware with high quality and reliability.
• Develop HIL and automated production test tools for rigorous validation.
• Draft test specs, acceptance tolerances, and regulatory documentation.
• Own FPGA RTL features (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth).
• Build end-to-end data acquisition pipelines for testing and manufacturing support.
• Optimize HW/SW integration across system architecture.
• Define requirements for capital test equipment for development and production.
• Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability in a regulated framework.
