Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer in Huntsville, AL. You will design and bring up rugged embedded hardware with Intel/ARM, DDR4/DDR5, FPGAs, and high-speed interfaces like PCIe and multi-Gigabit Ethernet.

You will own architecture, validation, and production release, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering or embedded hardware design.
• Strong understanding of PC architecture and processor-based embedded systems.
• PCB design with schematic capture and routing; high-speed constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support advanced embedded hardware systems.
• Own architecture, bring-up, verification, and production release of boards.
• Develop test plans and validation against requirements.
• Collaborate with FPGA, software, systems, and manufacturing teams.
