Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to join our Raleigh, NC-based engineering team. You will design, develop, test, and release embedded software for SiC-based three-phase power conversion systems used in mission-critical applications such as data centers.

This hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote) requires collaboration with global teams, hands-on hardware-in-the-loop testing, and a focus on robust, safety‑minded

Qualifications

• Real-time firmware/embedded software development for three-phase power electronics.
• Experience with C/C++ for real-time control and system functionality.
• Familiarity with FPGA-based digital control and PWM modulation.
• Hands-on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and release embedded software for new products.
• Translate system requirements into embedded software architecture.
• Evaluate architectures balancing cost, performance, and schedule.
• Collaborate with global teams to launch SiC-based power conversion systems.
