Job summary

HID is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to research, develop, maintain and customize embedded solutions for HID’s Secure Issuance products. The role involves cross-functional collaboration across firmware, electrical, mechanical, QA and product teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a BS in engineering, 4-7+ years in embedded firmware with C/C++, Agile/SAFe experience, and familiarity with embedded Linux and debugging tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
• 4-7+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe desired.
• 4-7+ years of C/C++ for embedded devices.
• Familiarity with test/measurement equipment and debugging tools.
• Embedded Linux and FPGA experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and define embedded requirements with team and customers.
• Assist in product design and architecture development.
• Design, develop and maintain embedded solutions per requirements.
• Participate in estimations and code reviews.
• Collaborate across firmware, electrical, mechanical, QA and product teams.
• Work to improve development processes and tools.
