Job summary

HID Global Secure Issuance, part of HID Global, seeks a skilled Senior/Staff Software Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain platform software including printer drivers and SDKs. You will work across firmware, hardware, and software teams to meet product requirements and timelines.

The role emphasizes architecture, code reviews, and process improvements in a collaborative, global environment with opportunities to influence product direction and technical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of related software engineering experience; senior level 4–7 years; staff level 7+ years.
• Experience with platform software development using object-oriented languages (C/C++/C#).
• Familiarity with Windows API, DevExpress, and XML; Linux is a plus; Git familiarity; Jenkins a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate platform software requirements with cross-functional teams.
• Assist in product design and architecture development.
• Design, develop, and maintain platform software solutions.
• Contribute to task estimation and process improvements.
• Collaborate with firmware, electrical, mechanical, QA, product teams, and customers.
