Job summary
HID Global is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to help research, develop, and maintain embedded solutions for Secure Issuance devices. You will join a cross-functional team working on FARGO printers and laminators, tackling design, implementation, and optimization tasks.
The role requires 4–7+ years in embedded firmware, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with Agile/SAFe. Oscilloscopes and hardware interfaces knowledge are a plus, with opportunities for career development within a global
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
- 4–7+ years embedded firmware development experience.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe is desirable.
- Proficient in C/C++ for embedded devices; Linux experience a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces (USB/Ethernet) and debugging tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and define embedded requirements; collaborate with teams and customers.
- Assist in product design, architecture, and development of embedded solutions.
- Develop, test, and maintain firmware to meet documented requirements.
- Contribute to estimates and participate in code reviews.
- Work in cross-functional teams with hardware, software, and QA engineers.
