Job summary
Blue Origin in California seeks a hands-on technical leader to own firmware development for custom DBF ASICs in the TeraWave system. You will drive architecture, pre- and post-silicon validation, and production firmware, partnering with ASIC design, verification, hardware, and manufacturing teams to meet program milestones.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of embedded firmware experience, strong C skills, and a proven track record delivering complex silicon projects with hardware/software
Qualifications
- 10+ years of embedded firmware development
- Experience with complex digital ASICs/SoCs
- Strong knowledge of embedded processors, memory, interrupts, DMA
- Experience with hardware/software interfaces and validation
Responsibilities
- Own architecture, design, and validation of embedded firmware for DBF ASICs
- Develop ROM and runtime firmware for DBF ASICs, including boot and telemetry
- Define hardware/software interfaces and initialization sequences
- Create firmware verification strategies, test plans, and automation
- Lead pre- and post-silicon firmware bring-up with cross-functional teams
- Deliver production firmware packages and documentation
- Collaborate with design, verification, RF, and manufacturing teams
- Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture reviews
