Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior firmware engineer to develop ROM and runtime firmware for Digital Beamforming ASICs within the TeraWave system. You will work with hardware and communications engineers to implement firmware interfaces and support pre- and post-silicon activities.

The role requires 10+ years in firmware, strong C programming, and deep experience with embedded systems and hardware-software debugging. Relocation and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/EE or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of firmware development.
• Experience developing software in C.
• Experience writing software that directly controls hardware (firmware, drivers, embedded code).
• Experience debugging embedded firmware and HW/SW interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop ROM and runtime firmware for Digital Beamforming ASICs (DBF).
• Develop and support firmware for beam pointing, calibration, SerDes, secure boot, telemetry and sideband control of DBF ASICs.
• Collaborate with hardware and communications systems engineers to define firmware interfaces.
• Support pre-silicon firmware development, integration, and validation.
• Assist post-silicon bring-up, debugging and validation of custom DBF silicon.
