Job summary

General Motors Ventures seeks an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop embedded software for high-compute SoC platforms used in infotainment and ADAS. You will work on RTOS and Linux-based solutions, focusing on safety-critical development with ASIL guidance.

Collaborating with hardware teams and vendors, you will optimize performance and power, contribute to safety practices, and help scale the vehicle compute platform for GM vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience with safety-critical software development in automotive/industrial domains.

Responsibilities

• Develop software on a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or SafeRTOS.
• Develop Linux-based software to manage powering and activation of devices and processes.
• Engage in full SDLC activities: requirements, design, implementation, testing, integration.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and system architects to ensure proper software/hardware integration.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and power efficiency in high-performance embedded systems.
• Contribute to safety-critical software development using automotive safety standards.
