Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Auburn Hills, MI, is seeking a controls engineer/manager to support the global planning, execution, and program coordination of its Controls and SW platform solution for Transmissions.

The role requires a strong background in Automotive engineering, Matlab/Simulink, and Embedded C, with leadership to mentor a team of engineers and ensure rigorous validation across the vehicle development cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab/Simulink, Embedded C is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to vehicle/programs.
• Representing the Controls System vs the Propulsion System as primary interface.
• Coordinating Controls Features development.
• Defining Feature Roll-out Plan aligned to program milestones.
• Playing a key role in the Controls & SW change Management, Quality assessment and Risk mitigation.
• Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers.
• Ensure rigorous validation of control functions throughout the vehicle development cycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cutting-edge controls technology.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controls engineering processes, methodologies, and technologies.
