Job summary

The role interfaces with propulsion and other engineering units, ensuring rigorous validation and driving improvements in controls processes using Matlab/Simulink and Embedded C. Strong collaboration and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven record delivering high quality technical solutions within complex systems.
• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive).
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience as Controls/SW developer using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow, Embedded C or calibration is a plus.
• Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable.
• Familiarity with software development tools and debugging techniques.
• Strong collaboration and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing Feasibility and cost assessment for Controls & SW to vehicle programs.
• Representing the Controls System vs Propulsion System as primary interface.
• Coordinating Controls Features development.
• Defining Feature Roll-out Plan aligned to program milestones.
• Playing a key role in Controls & SW change management, quality assessment and risk mitigation.
• Lead and mentor a team of controls engineers in a collaborative environment.
• Ensure rigorous validation of control functions throughout vehicle development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cutting-edge controls technology.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in controls engineering processes and methodologies.
