Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Peoria, IL seeks an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to own the design, development, validation, and deployment of closed-loop control algorithms and embedded software for off-highway machine systems.

You will set the technical direction for control strategies, advance Model‑Based Design, auto code generation, and on‑target calibration, while mentoring engineers across the team.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and validating closed-loop control systems for embedded MPC or PID controllers.
• Strong background in Kalman filtering, state estimation, and real-time processing.
• Proficiency in writing robust embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers with HALs.
• Experience with SIEMENS/MathWorks tools and model-based design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of control algorithms for hydraulic and powertrain systems.
• Develop plant models, perform system identification, and validate through MIL/SIL/HIL.
• Generate production code with Embedded Coder and integrate with drivers on ECUs.
• Calibrate and tune controllers on machines and test rigs; analyze test data.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design/code reviews; enforce coding standards.
