Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a software engineer to design and develop embedded software for satellite systems, using Rust, C++, and other modern languages. You will write system applications, work on SpaceSDK, and collaborate with hardware teams to ensure reliability and security.

This role requires 3+ years of professional software development and experience in design or architecture of complex systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software in Rust, C++, or other modern languages.
• Write system applications for satellite components and interfaces like CAN.
• Scale SpaceSDK to support increasing numbers of Satellite components.
• Develop monitoring and telemetry for Satellite components.
• Develop security features for satellite systems.
• Collaborate with other software and hardware teams.
• Troubleshoot and solve critical issues on satellites in orbit.
• Be a champion for the quality, reliability and security of critical code.
