Job summary

Archer in San Jose, CA seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Battery Management System (BMS). You will embed safety-critical software, develop low-level drivers for battery hardware, and collaborate with systems engineers to meet DO-178C certification requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a related field.
BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
Proficiency with C/C++ and safety-critical software standards.

Responsibilities

Embedded development and verification of safety critical software components for the aircraft BMS.
Develop and integrate battery controls and low-level drivers for battery microcontrollers.
Decompose requirements in DO-178C compliant processes with systems engineers.
Design fault detection and diagnostic algorithms for hardware events.
Apply DSP and filtering to sensor data for accurate state estimation and protection.
Lead initial board bring-up and debugging of new BMS hardware designs.
Document streamlined software development and verification processes for DO-178C certification.
