Job summary

Tellent is seeking a backend-heavy product engineer to turn AI ideas into trusted interfaces. You will own problems end to end: shaping, building, shipping, and validating impact across the platform.

Responsibilities include building AI-powered features, collaborating across teams, and owning features with strong testing and quality standards. Hybrid or remote work options are available across Amsterdam, Cologne, or Poland, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with Elixir or strong backend experience in Ruby on Rails/Python/Java/PHP with motivation to learn Elixir
• Experience with TypeScript and Mastra (AI TypeScript framework) or willing to learn
• Senior-level judgment: shipped enough to know when good enough is good enough
• Product thinking: evaluate trade-offs and prototype cheaply, abandon ideas when data says so

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered features into mature products with real users
• Work across the stack when needed (80/20: backend focus, some frontend)
• Take ownership of features: well-tested, maintainable, high quality
• Collaborate with Backend/Frontend Engineers, Design, QA, and DevOps to solve complex problems
