Job summary

IT Labs, a global software technology company, is seeking an experienced backend/platform engineer to design, build, and scale secure microservices and APIs. You will integrate AI engines with enterprise systems, optimize real-time hosting, and implement robust authentication and RBAC.

The role requires AWS expertise, strong Git/CI-CD practices, and excellent English communication. Remote, full-time position with an EU residence requirement.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of backend/platform engineering experience.
• Strong Node.js expertise; Python is a plus.
• Experience building scalable cloud apps (AWS required).
• Experience designing authentication, RBAC, and security best practices.
• Hands-on with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments and mission-critical systems.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Candidate must be located in an EU member country.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, resilient, and secure microservices and APIs.
• Integrate databases, third-party services, and legacy platforms with AI engines.
• Optimize backend latency and resource allocation for real-time AI hosting.
• Implement enterprise-grade authentication, RBAC, and rate-limiting.
• Establish coding standards, write integration tests, and conduct code reviews.
• Partner with AI engineers to deploy model weights/microservices in Docker.
• Integrate apps with cloud-hosted services and AWS/Azure environments.
