Job summary

THOR Solutions, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician V (Elevator Systems) with U.S. Navy shipboard experience to provide full-time support at SWRMC in San Diego, CA.

The role includes troubleshooting, maintenance, and training Ship’s Force to improve Fleet readiness. Responsibilities cover SME leadership on-site, assessments, ESRs/DFS coordination, and OJT for Navy technicians, with travel up to 10% and a Secret clearance requirement.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing U.S. Navy Auxiliary equipment, including mechanical/electrical/hydraulic subsystems.
• Ability to complete assessments and technical assists with repair recommendations in Report/TAVR format; conduct ship visits to assess material condition.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time onsite and surge support for Code 253 equipment.
• Lead assessment teams and provide technical guidance on-site or remotely.
• Conduct pre-job briefings and report equipment readiness status.
• Perform fleet technical assistance, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs as required.
• Conduct assessments, inspections, and grooms to determine equipment condition and recommend actions.
• Provide on-the-job training to Ship’s Force technicians.
