Job summary

Leidos LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks a Principal Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer to architect, develop, and govern automated test equipment for high-reliability defense systems. You will lead cross-functional teams across design, test, manufacturing and quality, drive TRR, and optimize yield.

Requires a BS with 12–15 years or an MS with 10–13 years of related experience; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree plus 12–15 years of experience or MS with 10–13 years of experience
• Architectural Expertise: proven track record deploying automated test equipment (ATE) and in-circuit/functional test systems
• Testing Experience: experience with electronic assembly testing, including In-circuit Functional Testers
• Software Development: expert-level in structured, object-oriented test software using LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python
• Hardware Design: schematic capture, PCB design, signal integrity analysis for custom test interface electronics

Responsibilities

• Define the overarching test strategy and instrumentation roadmaps
• Architect and oversee complex test software frameworks using LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python
• Develop test hardware to maximize test coverage
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in design, test, manufacturing, and quality
• Perform root-cause analysis for complex failures and drive corrective actions
• Apply SPC, ANOVA, and MSA to improve yield and reduce false failures
• Establish engineering standards for schematics, tests, and configuration management
• Work on a range of products for military and commercial customers
