Job summary

MKS invites an Engineering Technician to join the Valves Engineering team in Andover, MA. You will collaborate with electrical, software, mechanical and test engineers to design, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment used globally.

If you enjoy hands-on work with both electrical and mechanical systems, this is a great opportunity. In this role, you will read schematics, troubleshoot circuits down to component level, perform failure analysis, and generate detailed test reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or related hands-on experience.
• 4+ years with electronic systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams & docs.
• Strong component-level troubleshooting & circuit analysis.
• PCB rework experience (SMT & through-hole).
• Hands-on use of standard lab equipment and MS Office / email.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits to component level.
• Perform failure analysis, document findings, and generate test reports.
• Assemble, test, evaluate, and maintain electrical/electronic systems.
• Order and manage electrical components, tools and lab supplies.
• Disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Support lab operations, including equipment maintenance and calibration tracking.
