Job summary

Swagelok in Solon, Ohio, seeks a Lead Sourcing Specialist to shape the electronics category strategy, build strong supplier partnerships, and lead high-impact sourcing initiatives aligned with Swagelok's values.

You will guide the sourcing process, negotiate with senior stakeholders, and mentor other specialists while ensuring supply continuity across multiple sites and regions in Northeast Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field and 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proven ability to deploy strategic sourcing methodologies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience presenting to executive management.
• Knowledge of electronics sourcing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies and supplier selections based on strategic sourcing methodology.
• Lead high-impact negotiations from strategy to execution.
• Represent Swagelok in dealings with supplier executives and management.
• Manage major supplier transitions to meet inventory and production objectives.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to Sourcing Specialists and project teams.
• Lead and implement special projects to enhance department performance.
• Conduct supplier site visits and evaluate capabilities to ensure alignment with Swagelok expectations.
• Report progress and outcomes to executive management.
