Job summary

Hire Consulting Services in the United States is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze returned electronic products. You will perform root-cause analysis, help develop test systems, and collaborate with product teams while mentoring less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or military electronics training or equivalent combo.
• Minimum 5 years of component-level troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience soldering fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB.
• Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
• Experience troubleshooting analog circuits; switching power supplies preferred.
• IPC soldering certification preferred; able to read schematics and use test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronics.
• Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain a repair database.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Assist with design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and systems.
• Support development and documentation of troubleshooting protocols.
• Provide feedback to product development teams for design improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
