Job summary

Talent With Heart seeks an experienced electronics technician to troubleshoot, repair, and analyze returned products. The role includes root-cause analysis, test-system development, and collaboration with product development teams, while mentoring junior technicians.

You will collect repair data, maintain the repair database, and help design and maintain test fixtures and protocols to improve reliability and reduce failure rates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in component-level troubleshooting and repair of electronic products.
• Experience soldering fine-pitch SMT and through-hole PCB assemblies.
• Experience with microprocessor- and microcontroller-based products.
• Experience troubleshooting analog circuits.
• IPC soldering certification (IPC-J-STD-001 and/or IPC 7711/7721) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis on returned electronic products.
• Perform component-level repairs on returned devices.
• Collect repair data and maintain an accurate repair database.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.
• Assist with the design, construction, and maintenance of test fixtures and systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components.
• Support the development and documentation of troubleshooting protocols.
• Provide feedback to product development teams for design improvements and enhancements.
