Job summary

Akima Global Technology is seeking an Electronics Technician to support NASIC operations at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on hardware imaging, equipment sanitization, and Level II service desk activities within NASIC guidelines.

You will manage up to 350 desktop recapitalizations monthly, install up to 50 new printers yearly, and coordinate with ECO/NASIC staff for equipment handling. A TS/SCI clearance and Sec+ readiness are required to qualify.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required or ability to obtain one.
• Sec+ certification preferred or must obtain to qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide DLADS and Factory support during core business hours.
• Provide Level II Service Desk support and resolve tickets for new installation or desktop configurations.
• Perform up to 350 desktop recapitalizations per month including imaging and disposal of old computers.
• Coordinate with Hardware Technician, ECO, NPC, NASIC Logistics for equipment pickup and transfer.
• Sanitize, prep, and ship IT equipment; handle up to 375 pieces per month including desktops, laptops, mobiles, servers, printers, scanners and MFDs.
• Provide printer/CFP support for single-function printers, MFPs, plotters, 3D printers, and scanners; on-call as approved.
• Install/replace up to 50 new printers per year and troubleshoot printer-related issues.
• Image and maintain desktops and Linux workstations (Dell/HP, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, etc.).
• Maintain hardware inventory and ensure systems are ready for customer use with all software installed.
• Track requests with NASIC ticketing system and coordinate with external agencies as needed.
• Prepare monthly functional area reports detailing accomplishments, plans, and issues.
