Job summary

Akima Global Technology is seeking an Electronics Technician to support Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, with extensive desk-side and printer support. The role emphasizes imaging, equipment sanitization, and on-site installation across Dell/HP desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Security+ certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provides DLADS and Factory support during core business hours.
• Provides Level II Service Desk support.
• Resolves service requests for new installation or desktop configurations within SLAs.
• Up to 350 desktop recapitalizations per month including imaging and disposal of old computers.
• Coordinates with Hardware Technician, ECO, NPC and Logistics for equipment pickup.
• Complies with NASIC policies for handling accountable equipment.
• Receives, sanitizes, and prepares IT equipment for pickup (~375 pieces/month).
• Supports single-function printers, multifunction printers, plotters, 3D printers, and scanners; on-call for non-core hours.
• Provides Level II CFP support for all printers.
• Replaces or installs approximately up to 50 new printers per year.
• Diagnoses printer/scanner/MFG issues in a customer-focused environment.
• Maintains inventory of hardware and peripherals for break/fix and warranty tickets.
• Completes sanitization and disposition forms.
• Handles equipment transfer as NPC or primary NPC per NASIC procedures.
• Uses NASIC ticket system to track requests for installation and disposition services.
• Provides warranty support for printers, laptops, and desktops.
• Coordinates corrective action with outside agencies as required.
• Follows SOPs to resolve tickets and safety guidelines.
• Images/installs/maintains/removes workstations and peripherals.
• Maintains computer inventory and accountability per customer practices.
• Keeps a stock of tools for the functional area.
• Works NASIC incident/service requests and troubleshoots defective devices.
• Installs and moves workstations and peripherals per NASIC guidelines.
• Maintains stock of at least 8 systems per network per day for break-fix use.
• Maintains inventory of drives, printers, toner, etc.
• Returns vendor repairs and warranty items to Government bench stock.
• Ensures new computers are operational with all software.
• Communicates with customers to ensure functionality post-delivery.
• Provides monthly functional-area reports with accomplishments and upcoming plans.
