Job summary

Frontgrade Technologies is seeking an Electronics Engineer IV to lead the electronics design team from concept through production, driving advanced power conversion, motor control, and embedded systems for aerospace and military applications.

Operating with minimal supervision, this role provides technical leadership, mentors staff, and ensures successful delivery across design, validation, and production while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline or more with advanced degrees.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance.
• Experience with testing equipment for electronic boards and devices and independent test-method development.
• Proficiency in CAD (Altium) and analysis tools (LTspice).
• Embedded computing and FPGA/microprocessor architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development for advanced electronics projects including power conversion and motor control.
• Support proposals with technical summaries, effort, and schedule estimates.
• Develop internal design requirements and steer high-reliability products to production.
• Develop hardware prototypes to confirm manufacturability and performance.
• Establish test strategies and documentation for production readiness.
• Lead RCCA investigations and risk management for design issues.
• Support program management with schedules, ETC metrics, and risk management.
• Provide technical leadership, career development, and mentoring to the design staff.
• Serve as primary customer interface with technical reports and reviews.
