Job summary

The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisory-level technician to direct and oversee maintenance, operations, and repair of electronic and electrical equipment and systems. You will provide technical guidance, prepare cost estimates, and manage subcontracted work as needed.

This role requires at least four years relevant experience or a technical certificate, with emphasis on supervision, planning, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience relevant to listed job functions or completion of a relevant technical training program or job certificate.
• Experience directing and overseeing maintenance, operations, and repair of electronic and electrical systems.
• Ability to prepare cost estimates, requisitions, and related reports.
• Skills to supervise staff including hiring recommendations and performance assessment.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain electronic and electrical equipment and systems and advise on their use.
• Prepare cost estimates, purchase requisitions, and related reports.
• Supervise employees, plan and assign work, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Review and ensure the quality of work overseen and provide coaching as needed.
