Job summary

The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisory-level maintenance role responsible for directing and overseeing facility, grounds, and contractors in the maintenance, operations, and repair of electronic and electrical equipment and systems.

The position installs, inspects, and maintains equipment, prepares cost estimates and reports, and supervises staff with hiring, training, planning, and performance evaluations. Excellent benefits and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience relevant to the listed job functions.
• Relevant technical training program or job certificate.
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, and maintains electronic and electrical equipment, software, components, and systems and provides technical advice on the use of electronic equipment.
• Prepares cost estimates, purchase requisitions, and associated reports.
• Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
• Supervision at this level requires knowledge and ability to perform and review the work overseen.
