Job summary

The Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking a supervisory-level technician responsible for directing a team of facility, grounds, and trades workers in maintaining electronic and electrical equipment and systems.

You will install, inspect, and repair equipment, prepare cost estimates, supervise staff, and ensure safety and compliance. A minimum of four years of related experience or completion of technical training is required. State benefits included.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience relevant/similar to the listed job functions or completion of a relevant technical training program or job certificate.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, and maintains electronic and electrical equipment, software, components, and systems and provides technical advice on the use of electronic equipment.
• Prepares cost estimates, purchase requisitions, and associated reports.
• Employee supervision includes hire recommendations, training, planning and assigning work, performance assessment, coaching, and progressive discipline.
• Supervision at this level requires knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
